PIA has not announced any route-wide suspension for 20 July 2026. Earlier Gulf and Asia suspension notices are no longer reliable guides to today’s flights.
Check your flight number and departure airport before travelling, especially for Gulf routes.
No route-wide suspension confirmed
No PIA route-wide suspension is confirmed for 20 July 2026 on the airline’s public travel advisory page.
The February suspension covering the UAE, Bahrain, Doha and Kuwait was temporary. A later reduction covered Gulf destinations outside the UAE and Saudi Arabia only until 30 April.
Those dates have passed, so do not use either notice to decide whether a July flight is operating.
Kuala Lumpur’s April suspension did not include a confirmed July status. Check your booking and flight number directly with PIA.
Routes confirmed in service
- Islamabad-Beijing: PIA resumed direct service on 3 July 2026 after the April suspension.
- Islamabad-Manchester: PIA lists two flights a week on its website.
A listed route can still have an individual cancellation or delay. Always check the exact departure date and flight number.
Gulf flights may change
The US-Iran conflict escalated again on 20 July, with US strikes on Iran and Iranian attacks towards Bahrain and Kuwait. This can cause sudden airspace restrictions, diversions and cancellations.
EASA’s 14 July warning advises airlines covered by its rules not to use Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE or western Gulf of Oman airspace through 29 July, unless reviewed earlier.
The EASA warning is not a PIA route list. Check every Gulf flight directly with PIA and the departure airport.
Kuwait International Airport is using Terminals 4 and 5 on a reduced schedule, while Terminal 1 is closed. Confirm your terminal and departure time before going to the airport.
How to check your flight
- Open the PIA website and select Flight Status.
- Search by route or flight number and choose the correct departure date.
- Open My Booking to check messages or changes linked to your booking.
- Check the departure airport’s official flight board.
- Call PIA if the information does not match.

If PIA changes your flight
Contact PIA or the travel agent that issued your ticket. PIA says its automated exchange and refund service in My Booking is for web-ticket customers.
For an involuntary change, no-show or cancelled booking, PIA directs customers to its contact centre or a PIA ticket office.
Keep any cancellation message and receipts for reasonable extra costs in case your insurer asks for them.

Safety during an alert
If local authorities issue a warning while you are in the Gulf:
- follow local instructions and enter the nearest safe building or designated shelter;
- move to an interior room or stairwell, away from windows;
- stay away from military and security facilities;
- do not touch missile, drone or other unfamiliar debris; and
- keep your passport, medicines, phone and charger ready.
Do not travel to the airport during an alert unless the airline confirms your flight and local authorities say the journey is safe.
