Lebanese nationals can no longer obtain a visa on arrival in Qatar. According to a notice issued by the Embassy of Lebanon in Doha on 1 April 2026, the visa-on-arrival facility previously available to Lebanese passport holders has been suspended.
Lebanese citizens planning to travel to Qatar must now obtain a pre-approved visa through the Hayya platform before departure.
What Has Changed for Lebanese Travellers
Under the new policy, Lebanese travellers must secure an approved visa before arriving in Qatar.
The Embassy of Lebanon in Doha has advised nationals to complete all visa procedures well in advance to avoid being turned away at the border.
Travellers must also carry a printed copy of their approved visa to present at immigration upon arrival. Digital copies alone may not be accepted.

How to Get a Qatar Visa Now
Lebanese nationals must now apply for a visa through Qatar’s official Hayya platform, which handles tourist, business, and event visa applications for the country.
To apply, you will typically need:
- A valid passport with at least six months’ validity
- A confirmed return or onward flight ticket
- Proof of accommodation in Qatar
- A passport-sized photograph
The standard tourist visa (Hayya A1) costs QAR 100 (approximately USD 27) and is valid for up to 30 days.
Processing typically takes several working days, though times vary and some applications may take longer. Apply well in advance of your travel date.

Flights Between Lebanon and Qatar
Even with a valid visa, getting to Qatar from Lebanon is currently not possible on a direct flight. As of 6 April 2026, there are no direct flights operating between Beirut and Doha.
Qatar Airways is operating a limited flight schedule through dedicated corridors approved by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority — but its Beirut route remains suspended through at least mid-to-late April.
Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport has also been heavily affected. Most international airlines have suspended Beirut services, with only Middle East Airlines (MEA) and Royal Jordanian operating limited departures. MEA’s Gulf routes, including Doha, are also currently cancelled.
