The much hyped, brand new, one of a kind Qatar Airways Business Class seats have just been revealed. The airline says they are revolutionising business travel with their party of four configurations with two by two facing seats. This is particularly great for flying with family or friends, but also great if you’re travelling with work colleagues which means there’s no need to wait until you’re on the ground to catch up on meetings, or collaborate on a proposal.
Cleverly dubbed ‘first in business’, there are a few firsts that we’ve not seen before in premium seating in this class. Apart from the obvious reference to a more luxurious business class experience, Qatar’s Qsuite also offers the world’s first double bed in the class.
If privacy is preferred, passengers can use the adjustable privacy panels to a single or double configuration. The additional luxe is also found in the details with seats featuring hand-stitched Italian leather and satin rose gold finishing.
In-flight dining has also received an upgrade with a ‘dine on demand’ service, and a sharing menu to suit the more social seating design. If you prefer to catch up on sleep, each door has a ‘Do Not Disturb’ option, and kids get their own children’s menu too.
The highly anticipated reveal took place yesterday at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel show and created a global industry buzz. Qatar have been developing the one of a kind design for two years, and Qsuites will progressively (about one per month) be retrofitted on to its existing fleet from June.
