Pre-arrival registration requirements for all arrivals
Undertaking and acknowledgement form
All passengers must sign an Undertaking and Acknowledgement Form before arriving in Qatar. The form is available on the Ministry of Public Health website, the pre-registration platform website www.ehteraz.gov.qa and the airline online booking form. Citizens and residents are exempted from this requirement on the condition that they are fully vaccinated inside the State of Qatar arriving from one of the countries to which Standard Health Measure apply.
Ehteraz pre-travel registration
Starting 1 November 2022, Qatar’s health ministry also dropped the requirement for adults to show their COVID-19 status on the government-run contact tracing Ehteraz application before entering stadiums or other establishments like shops and restaurants. However, visitors and residents will still be required to show the application before entering a healthcare facility.
Although pre-registration is optional for citizens and residents of Qatar, the Ministry of Public Health recommends that all individuals entering Qatar pre-register to ensure the best experience upon arrival in Qatar.
Mandatory Ehteraz app download
All travellers arriving in Qatar should download the Ehteraz mobile application and activate it on their mobile phones using a local or international SIM card.
Ehteraz is available via the web portal. Travellers can download the Ehteraz App (Android, iOS).
Testing requirement
Please note that starting 1 November 2022, returning residents and citizens as well as World Cup visitors will NO longer be required to submit COVID-19 test results to travel to the country. The World Cup spectators will also not be required to show proof of vaccination nor will they be asked to quarantine upon arrival.
