Ryanair fares right now
Wego’s differentiator is real pricing. The figures below are cheapest return economy fares pulled from actual searches run on Wego, departing Dublin (DUB) on 23 September 2026 and returning 30 September 2026, sampled 12 August 2026, in USD.
Dublin is one of Ryanair’s largest bases and is used here as a consistent sampling point. Readers flying from elsewhere should search their own origin on Wego.
These are a dated sample. Fares on this connector moved between minutes on the same day during sampling, so check current prices on Wego’s Dublin flights page before booking.
Three routes needed extra filtering to stay honest. On Rome, Malaga and Alicante, Wego’s raw Ryanair filter also surfaced combination fares where one direction was actually flown by Wizz Air or easyJet under a virtual-interlining ticket.
Those were excluded, which is why the cheapest all-Ryanair Rome fare above connects through London Stansted rather than flying nonstop. Other routes checked, including Barcelona, Madrid, Milan and Berlin, returned genuine nonstop Ryanair fares both ways.
Baggage allowance and fees
Every Ryanair fare includes one small personal bag that has to fit under the seat in front of you, and that is where the free allowance stops.
How priority boarding, the larger cabin bag and a checked bag split between the Regular and Plus tiers has changed more than once, and this fact-check could not reconfirm the current split against Ryanair’s live comparison page. Check the fare page directly before booking rather than relying on a fixed tier-by-tier breakdown.
A bag that turns up at the gate oversized typically gets refused or gate-checked for a fee, and checked baggage over its weight tier is charged per kilo on top.
Fleet: an all-Boeing 737 operation
Every Ryanair Group aircraft is a Boeing 737. The AWS announcement on 27 July 2026 put the group fleet, across Ryanair DAC, Malta Air, Buzz and Lauda Europe, at 647 aircraft flying about 3,900 flights a day.
- Boeing 737-8200, marketed as the “Gamechanger”, is the current workhorse, carrying roughly 4% more seats than the 737-800s it replaces on higher-density routes.
- Boeing 737-800 still makes up the balance of the fleet.
- 150 Boeing 737 MAX 10s are on firm order, plus 150 options, agreed in 2023 for delivery between 2027 and 2033.
None of those MAX 10s have been delivered and none are flying. Treat any claim that MAX 10s are already in Ryanair service as wrong.
Hubs, bases and network
Ryanair Holdings plc is the listed parent of four operating airlines: Ryanair DAC (Ireland, the original and largest), Malta Air, Buzz (Poland) and Lauda Europe (Malta). Michael O’Leary is Group CEO.
Between them, the group flies from roughly 90 to 100 bases to well over 200 destinations across more than 30 countries, with Dublin as its home base and largest single hub.
Other major bases include London Stansted and Milan Bergamo, alongside a growing Moroccan cluster the airline is expanding sharply this winter.
Digital boarding passes, check-in and boarding
This is the detail most likely to catch a traveller out. Since 12 November 2025, Ryanair has issued digital-only boarding passes through its app, and paper passes at the desk are gone on the great majority of routes.
Online check-in windows vary by fare. With a reserved seat, check-in opens up to 60 days before departure; with a randomly assigned seat it opens 24 hours before. Either way it closes 2 hours before departure.
Once you have checked in, the pass loads into the app and works offline, so there is no need to rely on airport Wi-Fi at the gate. Turning up without having checked in online means an airport check-in fee, which Ryanair sets by route at roughly 30 to 55 euros rather than one flat figure.
Morocco is the standing exception, where local regulation still requires a printed pass. Albania was on the same footing until its authorities approved digital passes in March 2026. Confirm current rules on Ryanair’s Help Centre before you fly, since exceptions have been changing route by route.
Loyalty programme: there isn’t one right now
Ryanair does not run a frequent-flyer or points scheme. Its one paid subscription, Ryanair Prime, launched in late March 2025 at 79 euros a year for reserved seating, travel insurance and member-only sales.
The airline closed it on 28 November 2025 after an eight-month trial, with new memberships unavailable from 1 December 2025 and no renewals offered. Roughly 55,000 members had generated about 4.4 million euros in subscription fees while taking more than 6 million euros in fare discounts.
Existing members keep their benefits until their individual contract expires, the last of those running to around October 2026. No replacement has been announced, so myRyanair remains an account login for saved passport, payment and booking details.
Changing, cancelling or contacting Ryanair
Manage a booking, change dates or request a refund through the “My Bookings” section on Ryanair.com or the app. Date and route changes carry a per-person change fee plus any fare difference, and Ryanair does not refund the difference if the new fare is cheaper.
Flexi Plus fares waive the change fee itself, though the fare difference still applies. If a flight is cancelled, delayed or changed by the airline, Ryanair emails re-routing, free-change and refund options.
Refund requests can also be filed through Ryanair’s refund claims form. Phone support runs during business hours, and response times for email and app queries tend to be faster in off-peak months.

What happens if I don’t check in online?
You can usually still check in at the airport desk, but expect an airport check-in fee of roughly 30 to 55 euros depending on the route, and a queue rather than a walk to the gate.
Does Ryanair fly the Boeing 737 MAX 10?
Not yet. Ryanair has 150 MAX 10s firmly ordered plus 150 options, and every Ryanair aircraft flying today is a 737-800 or 737-8200.
Is there a Ryanair frequent-flyer programme?
