As the tourism industry tries to reach normalcy by easing the Covid-19 restrictions around the world, air carriers across the globe have also been adopting several measures to ease flying. Saudi Arabia, however, has now scrapped most of its COVID restrictions, including the removal of both the use of masks in closed places and showing the health status on the Tawakkalna application for travellers entering the country.

Saudi Airlines PCR test requirements
All COVID‑19 restrictions for travel to Saudi Arabia have been lifted.
Passengers are NO longer required to hold a COVID‑19 vaccination certificate or a COVID‑19 test result to enter the country. Quarantine restrictions have also been lifted. Therefore, the only thing you need to prepare for is the test result for your destination, if your destination requires you to carry one. Different countries will have different requirements, sometimes depending on your point of origin.

Saudi Airlines PCR test labs
Please note that passengers are NO longer required to present a Covid-19 PCR test result to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Test labs for Saudi citizens
According to the SAUDIA, Saudi citizens travelling to a country that requires a PCR examination medical certificate, the medical certificate data must match the travel documents data and must be obtained from one of the PCR testing Covid labs or centres approved in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Airlines’ passengers from Oman can conduct their Covid-19 PCR test in any of the clinics approved by the Ministry of Health.
Test labs for passengers in Kuwait
Saudi Airlines’ passengers from Kuwait can present any PCR test certificate issued by the Kuwait Ministry of Health as well as all private labs and hospitals in Kuwait. The Airlines’ also approved the Covid-19 test from Kuwait’s I’m negative labs.

Test labs for passengers in Singapore
Saudi Airlines’ passengers from Singapore need to obtain the pre-departure approval via https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg. Usually, approval takes up to five working days.
After the approval is obtained, the applicant has to book an appointment with the approved clinic from the Safe Travel website for a PCR test.
