This is a standing service, not a new rule. The passports directorate set it out in 2022 and restated the same conditions this month. A worker reported absent from work fails the second condition, which is the one that catches people out.

The clock starts the day the visa is issued, so the flight is the first thing to settle rather than the last. Riyadh is the cheapest departure on four of the eight corridors, and Kathmandu is the dearest run wherever you leave from.

Can a domestic worker issue their own final exit visa?

No. It is issued by the employer or sponsor through Absher, and the independent application route open to some other resident categories does not cover domestic workers.

Can it be cancelled during the probation period?

No. The passports directorate has confirmed that a final exit visa issued during probation cannot be cancelled electronically on Absher, and it cannot be turned into an iqama afterwards.

What is huroob, and why does it block a final exit visa?

Huroob is the status given to a worker an employer has reported as absent from work. It fails the second of the four conditions, so no visa can be issued while it stands. You can check your absence from work status yourself before assuming anything.

How long is a final exit visa valid?

Up to 60 days from the date it is issued. Where the holder already has an iqama with between 30 and 60 days left, the visa is shortened to match what remains on the iqama.

What happens if you do not leave before it expires?

A fine of SAR 1,000 applies. The employer can only cancel the expired visa once that fine is paid, and only while the iqama is still valid.

How these figures were produced

Fares are a one way economy sample for one adult, departing a month after the sample date, because a final exit visa gives most people about two months to leave. That window is a sampling choice and nothing more: no date appears anywhere in the widget, and every fare link opens an undated search you can set your own dates on.
Itineraries with a bus or train leg sold under a flight number were dropped. Among what remained, each row takes the lowest price after adding SAR 25 for every hour slower than the fastest option on that route, so a 32 hour routing does not headline a page written for people on a deadline. Dammam to Delhi is the clearest case: the raw cheapest is SAR 492 over 32h 10m, against SAR 586 in 4h 35m.
Eight corridors were priced from three Saudi airports, chosen as the largest recruitment countries for domestic work, Pakistan included. Any other route can be searched on Wego directly using the button under the fare board.
One conflict is worth stating. The January 2025 announcement says a visa issued against an iqama with 30 to 60 days left is shortened to match it, while the June 2026 clarification summarised by KPMG says the visa runs 60 days from issuance regardless of iqama expiry. The widget follows the first, which is the issuance rule. Confirm the exact number on Absher.
