The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host the very first prestigious Olympics version for E-Sports in 2025. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced its partnership with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) on Friday, 12 July 2024, Wego reports.
The IOC has partnered with the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia to host the inaugural Olympic Esports Games 2025 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This follows the IOC’s recent announcement to establish the Olympic Esports Games.

The partnership between IOC and SOPC extends for a period of 12 years and affirms Saudi Arabia’s status as a global leader in e-sports. This partnership, which begins with Saudi Arabia organizing the Olympic sport for electronic sports or e-sports in Saudi Arabia in 2025, elevates the Olympics to a historic new level.
The Olympic Games for e-sports will officially be established during the 142nd International Olympic Committee session, which is scheduled to be held alongside the Paris Summer Olympics 2024. The IOC session will occur between 23 July and 24 July and on 10 August 2024.
