What is the Saudi QVP?

Saudi Arabia has been implementing significant reforms in the work sector in recent years, aiming to diversify its economy beyond its sole dependency on oil by 2030. One such initiative is the Qualification Verification Program or QVP, designed to enhance the quality of recruitment and increase the efficiency of the labor market in the country.

Under the Professional Accreditation Program (PACC) by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, there are two verification programs:

  • Saudi Skill Verification Program: This program targets vocational workers.
  • Qualification Verification Program: This program is for professionals to get their professional degrees and other educational qualifications accredited.

By having their qualifications validated by the government, candidates gain trust, making the hiring process smoother and more efficient for companies.

Which professions need to be verified with the program?

Certain professionals working in specific fields can get their certificates accredited through the Qualification Verification Program. Here are the 17 professions eligible for this facility:

  • Agriculture
  • Aviation
  • Commerce
  • Construction
  • Contracting and construction
  • Culture
  • Education
  • Energy
  • Entertainment
  • Financial
  • Health
  • IT and telecom
  • Logistics
  • Media

To confirm if you can use this program, visit the PACC official website and select your program from the drop-down menu. Your occupation code will be entered automatically, generating a result that indicates whether you qualify for the Qualification Verification Program or if you need to use the Skill Verification Program.
