No, UAE residents whose nationality belongs to the GCC countries, including Emiratis, do not require a visa to visit Saudi Arabia and may use National ID cards to enter the Kingdom.

However, other UAE residents can apply for the new visa scheme for GCC residents, which allows them to apply for a Saudi eVisa through the Visit Saudi online portal. Furthermore, it also allows them to visit Saudi for both Umrah and tourism purposes.

Saudi visa for UAE residents general requirements

To qualify for the Saudi eVisa, residents of the UAE must possess the following documents.

  • a valid passport with an expiry date at least six months after the e-Visa issuance.
  • ID card.
  • bank details.
  • details of your accommodation (optional).
  • a passport-sized photo against a white background.
  • your email address.
  • guardian details including phone number, address, and ID. Approval is required if the applicant is underage, requires medical assistance, or is handicapped.

UAE residents can apply for the Saudi eVisa online from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) website by following the steps given below:

  • visit the MOFA website and log in to your account. Sign up or log in if you already have an account.
  • fill out the online application form with precise details.
  • submit scanned copies of your passport and a recent photograph that meets the outlined criteria.
  • provide a digital copy of your valid UAE visa or residency permit along with residential details.
  • review all provided information for accuracy.
  • enter essential medical details and select one of the available medical insurance options.
  • pay the visa fee online using the provided payment methods.
  • await an approval notification via email, which will include the e-visa if approved.

Saudi visa for UAE residents price

The cost for the Saudi eVisa is SAR 462 (AED 452) for a single entry visa.

The multiple-entry tourist visa is valid for one year from the date of issuance, and the permissible period of stay is 90 days. The single-entry tourist visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, and the permissible period of stay is 30 days.
