The gap between Dubai at $332 and Bangkok at $1,355 comes down to routing. Saudia’s nonstop network from Jeddah covers the Gulf, the Levant and South Asia efficiently, but the Bangkok itinerary in this sample connects through Jakarta, which adds hours and cost.

Fleet and aircraft
Saudia is mid-way through one of its largest fleet refreshes in years. The airline is on track to receive around 12 new aircraft through 2026, pushing the mainline total toward roughly 161 aircraft, with low-cost sister carrier flyadeal’s fleet of about 45 jets sitting outside that count.
New Airbus A321XLR jets entered commercial service in June 2026 in a low-density 144-seat layout, with 24 fully lie-flat business suites in a 1-1 herringbone and 120 economy seats.
The type extends Saudia’s single-aisle reach into medium-haul Europe, with Madrid and Moscow already flying and Geneva joining on 2 September 2026.
On the cargo side, Saudia Cargo’s order for four Boeing 777-200 freighters, with deliveries starting in the fourth quarter of 2026, is set to double its dedicated freighter fleet over the following year.
