Are Ukraine – UAE flights still operational?

As per the latest update, several airlines have recently decided to temporarily cease operations to and from Ukraine. Some major airlines that have suspended operations to and from Ukrainian cities are Flydubai, and Air Arabia.

Flydubai has suspended these flights:

  • Kyiv (KBP) ‑ up to and including 26 March 2022
  • Odessa (ODS) ‑ up to and including 27 March 2022
  • Krasnodar (KRR) ‑ up to and including 27 March 2022
  • Rostov (ROV) ‑ up to and including 29 March 2022
  • Minsk (MSQ) – up to and including 26 March 2022

S7 has suspended the following flights up to and including until further notice:

  • Rostov
  • Krasnodar
  • Anapa
  • Gelendzhik
  • Elista
  • Stavropol
  • Belgorod
  • Bryansk
  • Orel
  • Kursk
  • Voronezh
  • Simferopol

When will Ukraine-UAE flights resume?

Flydubai and Air Arabia have extended the suspension of flights to Ukraine until at least April 1. S7 has suspended flights until further notice. Budget airline Ryanair has cancelled all Ukrainian routes until the end of March. The national carriers of the UAE, Emirates and Etihad have also canceled all flights to and from Ukraine indefinitely. 

As the Ukrainian airspace currently remains closed, normal flight operations to Ukraine are expected to resume with the opening of the airspace. Michael O’Leary, the CEO of Ryanair has predicted that flights to and from Ukraine might not be able to resume until “next winter”.

Flydubai 

  • Kyiv – Dubai: Up to two daily flights available five days per week. Tickets start from USD 891 (UAH 26,569).
  • Odessa – Dubai: One daily flight available two days per week. Tickets start from USD 313 (UAH 9,336) 

Wizz Air

  • Kyiv – Abu Dhabi: One daily flight available twice a week. Tickets start from USD 401 (UAH 11,957).

Air Arabia

  • Kyiv – Sharjah: One daily flight available seven days a week. Tickets start from USD 671 (UAH 20,009).

Etihad

  • Odessa – Abu Dhabi: Up to four flights per day available seven days a week. Tickets start from USD 445 (UAH 13,296)

Turkish Airlines

  • Kyiv – Dubai: Up to three daily flights available seven days a week. Tickets start from USD 329 (UAH 9.810).
  • Kyiv – Sharjah: Up to three daily flights available three days per week. Tickets start from USD 335 (UAH 9,989).
  • Kyiv – Abu Dhabi: Up to four daily flights available seven days a week. Tickets start from USD 599 (UAH 17,862).
  • Odessa – Dubai: Up to three daily flights available seven days a week. Tickets start from USD 283 (UAH 8,439).
  • Odessa – Abu Dhabi: Up to three daily flights available seven days a week. Tickets start from USD 432 (UAH 12,882).
  • Odessa – Sharjah: Up to three daily flights available five days a week. Tickets start from USD 210 (UAH 6,262).
