The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation has officially given the green light to US-Bangla Airlines to operate regular flights between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, Wego reports.

US-Bangla Airlines, Bangladesh’s largest private airline, will operate daily between Dhaka and Jeddah. The inaugural flight will take off on 1 August 2024.

This initiative will amplify connections between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world, meeting the needs of expatriate Bangladeshis. Jeddah is the gateway to the Islamic holy cities of Mecca and Medina, making this new US-Bangla route incredibly valuable during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.

The schedule for the flights, according to the US-Bangla website, is as follows:

Dhaka to Jeddah

Flight BS 361

  • Departing Dhaka at 5:00 pm and arriving in Jeddah at 9:10 pm
  • Prices start from BDT 81,276
