Entry restricted for international travelers
Travelers from selected countries are not allowed to enter Bulgaria.
Details and Exemptions:Entry restrictions do not apply to:
-Bulgarian citizens, residents, and their families;
-Citizens of the United Kingdom, European Union, EEA, or Switzerland and their families when arriving from those countries;
-Travelers with humanitarian reasons;
-Some workers such as medics, agricultural workers, and tourism workers.

Quarantine-Free
No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Travelers from selected countries arriving with proof of vaccination and a negative test are not required to quarantine.
Details and Exemptions:Bulgarian citizens, residents, and their families who traveled without proof of COVID-19 status must quarantine on arrival for 10 days, or take a test a maximum of 24 hours after the arrival.

Required Documents for your Trip
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Travelers who are fully vaccinated must have a vaccination certificate accepted by the Bulgarian authorities. Travelers must have received the last dose required at least 14 days before travel to Bulgaria.

Travelers that have received a combination of one dose of Vaxzevria / AZD1222 (AstraZeneca) with one dose of Comirnaty / BNT162b2 (Pfizer-BioNTech) are also considered fully vaccinated. Please check the link for more information on the accepted vaccines.
Bulgaria also accepts proof via the EU Digital Covid Certificate.

Mandatory health declaration form
Travelers are required to complete a declaration form before traveling to Bulgaria.

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
All travelers, including those vaccinated and those who recovered from COVID-19, coming from selected countries must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Bulgaria.
The EU Digital COVID certificate is accepted.
This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 12;
-Travelers between ages 12-18 years can opt-out of testing and instead quarantine for 10 days on arrival.
Details and Exemptions:For Bulgarian citizens, residents, and their families, a test or proof of vaccination or proof of recovery are not mandatory but recommended. If they arrive without them, they must quarantine for 10 days on arrival.
