US To Cambodia Travel Restrictions, Flights News & Travel Ban In 2021 – Advisory & Requirements

Cambodia: Open for Travel

Travel is allowed with restrictions
Only travelers with valid visas are allowed to enter Cambodia. Visas on arrival, and visa exemption policies are suspended indefinitely. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

7 days quarantine

Mandatory quarantine for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers with an invitation letter must quarantine for 3 days. Travelers without a hotel booking must demonstrate US$600 in cash per person.

Vaccinated foreign tourists and returning residents are required to quarantine for 7 days. If not pre-booking the hotel, you must demonstrate US$1000 in cash per person. Health authorities will oversee a COVID-19 PCR test on the 6th day of quarantine.

COVID-19 test required

Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers are required to take a test for COVID-19 on arrival in Cambodia at a facility near the airport. Travelers are required to stay there until the results come back.

If a traveler tests positive, they will be required to quarantine for 14 days in a government-designated facility.

If a traveler tests negative, they will be required to quarantine for 14 days at their own accommodation and will be required to take another COVID-19 test on the 13th day of their quarantine.

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers must wear masks in public places.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination.

United Kingdom’s proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination certificate is also accepted.

Mandatory travel insurance
Most travelers are required to provide proof of insurance policy that shows medical coverage of $50,000 US or more for their stay in Cambodia. Travelers may instead purchase a health insurance package from Forte Insurance Company.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Cambodian citizens;
-Diplomatic visa holders (Visa A);
-Official visa holders (Visa B).

Deposit required for medical expenses
Travelers who are not citizens of Cambodia will be required to make a USD $2000 deposit at the airport to cover the costs of testing, quarantine accommodation, and other medical costs. After costs have been paid for, the remainder will be returned to the traveler.

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in English or French. The result must be issued a maximum of 72 hours before departure to Cambodia.

Optional Documents for your Trip

Recommended accommodation booking
Travelers are recommended to have an accommodation booking for an approved hotel to serve their quarantine. Approved hotels include the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh, or Raffles Hotel Le Royal Phnom Penh.

Travelers without a hotel booking must be able to demonstrate that they have enough funds to pay for their stay at a government-designated hotel.
