Malta: Open for Travel
Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers who have been in selected countries for the past 14 days before travel are allowed to enter Malta. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Details and Exemptions:Travelers must not transit through countries in the “Dark Red” list (banned countries) on their way to Malta. For more information, please check the source.

Quarantine-Free
No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers who have been in selected countries in the past 14 days before travel are not required to quarantine on arrival.

COVID-19 test not required
No proof of negative COVID-19 test results required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers coming from selected countries are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result. Travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate that is accepted by the Maltese Ministry of Health.

Masks are required
Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers aged 3 years and older must wear masks in indoor and outdoor places and offices.

Required Documents for your Trip
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a vaccination certificate showing they have received all vaccine doses required at least 14 days before traveling to Malta.
Travelers must have received only EMA-approved vaccines that are recognized by Maltese Public Health. These are Comirnaty [Pfizer], Jannsen [Johnson & Johnson], Spikevax [Moderna], Vaxzevria [AstraZeneca].
A certificate with 2 different EMA-approved vaccines is accepted as valid.
Travelers may show proof of vaccination through the EU Digital COVID vaccination certificate and others. For more details, please see the source.
Pregnant travelers advised not to get vaccinated during pregnancy are required to bring a doctor’s certificate.
Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:

Mandatory passenger locator form
All travelers must complete a digital Passenger Locator Form online that contains the passenger locator form and travel health declaration.
