Montserrat: Closed for Travel

Entry restricted for international travelers
Most international travelers are not allowed to enter Montserrat.

Details and Exemptions:Entry restrictions do not apply to:
-Montserrat citizens;
-Permanent residents, who resided in Montserrat for any period of time prior to March 16th, 2020, and their families;
-Member of the crew of an aircraft or ship;
-Non-resident technician;
-Persons who own a habitable house or home in Montserrat.

5 days quarantine

Mandatory 5-day quarantine and testing for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving in Montserrat must quarantine for 5 days and take a test after day 3 to end quarantine with negative results.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR or RNA test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 5 days before departure to Montserrat.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 12;
-Travelers entering Montserrat in circumstances related to a medical evacuation;
-Travelers who have been granted permission by the Minister to enter Montserrat for the purpose of aiding with preparations for a disaster or after a disaster.

Health screening on arrival
Travelers arriving in Montserrat may be subjected to medical examinations. Medical Officers are authorized to conduct clinical examinations and isolate any person considered to be at high risk of being infected with COVID-19.

Vaccinated travelers must present a vaccination certificate showing that at least 2 weeks have passed since they received the second dose in a 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or 1 dose of a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

All travelers must register to travel to Montserrat prior to booking their flights to Montserrat. This registration process requires persons to complete and submit the declaration form published on the government of Montserrat website. The form must be completed and submitted at least 72 hours before departure to Montserrat.
