US To New Caledonia Travel Restrictions, Flights News & Travel Ban In 2021 – Advisory & Requirements

New Caledonia: Closed for Travel

Entry restricted for international travelers
Travelers are not allowed to enter New Caledonia. Only flights to and from France and Sydney remain scheduled and are based on overriding personal, family, or professional reasons. Commercial flights are suspended until at least October 30th, 2021.

Details and Exemptions:This travel restriction does not apply to:
-New Caledonia citizens and residents;
-Travelers who can prove they have an essential reason.

7 days quarantine

Mandatory 7-day quarantine
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to quarantine for 7 days on arrival. Travelers are required to take a serological antibody test on arrival. It must be positive (verification of immunity by the presence of antibodies). Travelers must also take a PCR test on the 7th day and receive a negative result in order to leave quarantine.

Details and Exemptions:Travelers are considered to be fully vaccinated:
-if they have received two doses of messenger RNA vaccine: Comirnaty from Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna;
-or if they have received two doses of messenger RNA vaccine: Comirnaty from Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna; have received at least one dose of the Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna, and which can provide evidence of a past infection with COVID-19;
-or if they have received a dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, supplemented by a dose of messenger RNA vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech).

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken within 72 hours before departure to New Caledonia.

Details and Exemptions:This testing requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 11;
-Travelers from Wallis and Futuna;
-Travelers from Vanuatu.

Masks are required

Masks are mandatory in-flight and airports
Travelers aged 11 years and older, must wear masks during their flight and in the airport. Travelers are required to bring a surgical mask kit to protect themselves during the flight (1 mask every 4 hours).
