Quarantine may be required
COVID-19 test required
Proof of negative COVID-19 test results before arrival
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before boarding at their first point of departure for Papua New Guinea.
Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers aged 5 years and younger.

Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
All travelers must take a COVID-19 test upon arrival. If negative, travelers do not have to quarantine. If positive, they must immediately quarantine for 14 days at the traveler’s expense.

Mandatory health declaration form
Travelers are required to submit an online electronic health declaration a maximum of 24 hours before departure to PNG. Travelers must save the barcode as evidence of submission.

Mandatory travel authorization
Travelers must receive timely approval from the Papua New Guinea embassy in order to travel. Travelers must submit all their documents to the National Control Centre Travel Desk at [email protected].

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate showing that they received a full course of vaccination depending on the vaccine used.
Details and Exemptions:Fully vaccinated travelers should receive 2 doses of one of the following: Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Sinopharm-BBIBP, CoronaVac Sinovac vaccines, or 1 dose of Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
