Saint Martin (FR): Open for Travel

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers aged 11 years and older must wear masks in closed public places, public transportation, and taxis.

Details and Exemptions:Failure to wear a mask may result in a fine of 135 euros.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination showing that it has passed: -2 weeks after the second dose for Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca or;
-2 weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson or;
-2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series combination of a single dose Pfizer or Moderna with a single dose Astra Zeneca or;
-2 weeks after the single dose is administered to travelers who have already had COVID-19.

Only vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will be accepted: Pfizer (Comirnaty), Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen).

Mandatory health insurance
Travelers are required to have health insurance coverage that is valid in St. Maarten. This does not apply to travelers in transit, residents, flight crews, AUC faculty and students, BES-ZVK medical referrals, and French nationals.

The insurance purchasing process is an integrated step in the EHAS application.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Transit passengers;
-French nationals residing in France or a French territory.

Mandatory sworn statement
Travelers must present a sworn statement that they have no symptoms and that they are not aware of having been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the 14 days preceding the flight.

Mandatory travel authorization form
Travelers including citizens, residents, and transit travelers are required to complete health authorization applications through the Electronic Health Authorization System in order to enter Sint Maarten and St. Martin through Princess Juliana International Airport.

Travelers are encouraged to complete the application as soon as they receive their COVID-19 RT-PCR test results. Once completed and approved travelers will receive a printable authorization by email.
