US To Samoa Travel Restrictions, Flights News & Travel Ban In 2021 – Advisory & Requirements

Samoa: Closed for Travel

Entry restricted for international travelers
Most international travelers are not allowed to enter Samoa. Travelers will be assessed on a case-by-case basis before being granted entry. Travelers are advised to communicate with the Samoa Health Authorities, 21 days before their planned travel at en[email protected] or [email protected].

Details and Exemptions:Entry restrictions do not apply to:
-Samoan citizens;
-Permanent residents;
-Essential workers;
-Exceptional circumstances approved by Cabinet.

14 days quarantine

Mandatory 14-day quarantine
All travelers are required to quarantine at locations approved by the government for at least 14 days.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a printed negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Travelers must also provide proof of a blood serology for the COVID-19 antibody test taken 7 days before the first point of departure to Samoa.

An additional RT-PCR test is required if transit time is more than 32 hours in transit at any port.

Masks are required

Masks are mandatory during travel
Travelers must wear masks at all times during the flight, on arrival, and while in quarantine.

Other Things to Take Note Of

Health screening on arrival
Temperature and symptom checks are required for all passengers on arrival before they are transported to the quarantine locations.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate.

Vaccinated travelers must have a printed COVID-19 vaccination certificate if they received the vaccine at least 2 weeks before departure. Vaccines accepted are Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, and Sinopharm.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 18.

Mandatory health declaration form
Travelers are required to present a medical clearance form on arrival in Samoa. Medical clearance should be signed, stamped, and fully completed by a GP, a maximum of 120 hours before departure to Samoa, and presented in a hard copy on arrival.
