Saudi Arabia: Open for Travel

Travel is allowed with restrictions for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers from selected countries who do not have a travel history in selected countries during the 14 days prior to their arrival are allowed to enter Saudi Arabia. Please check the documentation, quarantine and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Quarantine-Free

No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers from selected countries are not required to quarantine on arrival.

Travelers are considered to be fully vaccinated when they have had two doses of the Pfizer BioNTech, Oxford AstraZeneca, or Moderna vaccine, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Travelers who have completed two doses of Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines will be accepted on the condition that they have received an additional dose of one of the mentioned vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 8;
-Saudi citizens.

Masks are mandatory in public

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers 12 years of age and older must show valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination via the Quddum platform. Travelers must be fully vaccinated with 1 of the vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia. Those fully vaccinated with 1 vaccine not approved by Saudi Arabia must have received 1 vaccine approved by the WHO and they must also have received 1 booster dose of a vaccine approved by Saudi Arabia.

Travelers must have successfully registered their vaccine doses on the Arrival Registration Platform.

Details and Exemptions:Travelers with different rules are:
-Saudi Citizens must show proof via the Tawakkalna app.
-Saudi residents must have been fully vaccinated in Saudi Arabia. Saudi residents fully vaccinated outside the Kingdom with 1 vaccine not approved by Saudi Arabia must have received a vaccine approved by the WHO and 1 booster dose of a vaccine approved by Saudi Arabia.

Mandatory health declaration form
Travellers are required to complete a health disclaimer form and provide it to the health personnel at the airport upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Mandatory contact-tracing app
Travelers are required to download the Tawakkalna mobile app and register at a home location 8 hours before of arrival. Travelers must not disable or disconnect the application, not turn off their phone or the app’s GPS, and keep their phone connected to the internet.

Mandatory Health insurance
Travelers must have valid health insurance that covers the costs of COVID-19 treatment.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Saudi Arabia citizens and residents;
-GCC citizens.
