Where is the Visa temple in India?
The Chilkur Balaji temple, one of the oldest in Hyderabad dating back to the era of Madanna and Akkanna, is popularly known as the Visa temple of India. Its presiding deity, Sri Venkateswara Balaji, became famous for clearing USA visas particularly, after four software engineering students claimed to have got their visas approved after visiting the temple.

The Visa temple is located on the banks of the Osman Sagar lake in the Rangareddy district of Telangana.
Apart from the Chilkur Balaji, Shaheed Baba Nihal Singh gurudwara in Punjab, Khadia Hanuman temple in Ahmedabad, and “Visa Wale” Bajrangbali temple in New Delhi are also reputed for helping with visa-related issues.
How to pray at the Visa temple?
To offer your prayers to Lord Balaji, walk around the inner shrine 11 times, express your wishes to the Lord, and vow to come back and complete 108 circumambulations around the inner shrine once your wishes are granted. Hundis or donations are not accepted at the Visa temple.
The Visa temple is one of the rare few temples in India which remains out of government control and therefore, doesn’t give any special privileges to VIPs.
