Wego Review 2026: Is Wego Legit?
Wego is rated 4.6 out of 5 on both app stores and has been downloaded more than 10 million times. Here is what travellers actually say, and how the support behind it performs.
Is Wego Legit?
Yes. Wego is a legitimate, established travel company founded in 2005, headquartered in Singapore and Dubai, and the largest travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa. It is a real business with a licensed booking operation, a 24/7 support team answering calls in under a minute, and more than 10 million app downloads.

It searches hundreds of airlines and agencies at once, shows you the fare, and either books it for you or passes you to the provider. That model is why the search is fast and the prices are low. It is also why the single most useful thing to know about any marketplace is what its support team does when a flight gets cancelled at 2am.

What happens when something goes wrong
This is the honest test of any booking site, and it is where Wego publishes numbers most competitors will not. Measured across more than 35,000 chats handled so far in September 2026 (as of 17 September):
phone, emailWays through to a person, 24 hours a day
On a booking made directly with Wego, anything not closed inside 24 hours moves to a dedicated follow-up team whose specific job is chasing airline delays and making sure refunds actually land. A refund often has to travel back through the airline before it reaches you, and that team exists to push it along rather than leave you to chase it.

“You can book tickets from there, they’re very reliable. If you make a mistake, they’ll be very helpful. I made a mistake. They were very helpful and spoke to customer service. I can trust them blindly.”
“I would like to thank Marwan from Customer Support for his outstanding assistance. I faced an issue with my booking, and he guided me through the solution calmly and professionally until everything was fully resolved. “For flights and hotel bookings, Wego has always been my first choice. It gives me confidence and peace of mind when making my travel arrangements.”
How to book smart on any travel marketplace
Good practice whoever you book with, and worth ninety seconds of your time.
- 1Take your time comparing a few fares or hotels, and check the property’s own reviews, rather than booking the first result.
- 2Confirm your booking directly with the airline within 24 hours of booking, using the airline reference, not just the agency one.
- 3Whichever channel you use to cancel or raise an issue, ask for a case or reference number so there is a record you can point back to.
- 4Screenshot the fare and baggage allowance shown at checkout, so you have proof of what you were quoted if anything looks different later.
