In an effort to tighten the control of the Coronavirus spread, the UAE government has erected numerous screening centres to mass test the population. Here are some places in Abu Dhabi you can go to get tested.

Free testing
The following priority categories are eligible for free testing. If you are one of the following categories, you can book by calling Estijabah on 8001717:
UAE nationals
Senior citizens above 50 years old
Residents above 50 years old
People suffering from chronic disease
Otherwise, free testing is available by booking an appointment through the SEHA App for the following categories:
UAE nationals
Children of Emirati women
Domestic workers working in Emirati Households
People suffering from chronic diseases
Residents above 50 years old
People of determination
Pregnant women
The free test can be availed only once in four months. You can also get tested for free, regardless of which category you fall under, at a Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) screening centre.
Abu Dhabi has eased most travel measures for flight arrivals at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH). COVID-19 PCR test service upon arrival is now optional for travellers entering the emirate. The PCR test facility remains available in the same location on the airport as an optional service at AED 40 for passengers who would like to activate their green pass on the Al Hosn app.
Kids aged 12 years and older who attend public schools are mandatory to present a negative PCR test taken no more than 96 hours before they go back to school from the summer break.

Local health authorities have also designated a laser-based rapid screening test outpost located at the last exit on Sheikh Zayed Road before the Ghantoot checkpoint. The test will cost Dh50, but you’ll need to pre-book an appointment online.
DPI laser test are not approved in some places, you will also need to present a negative PCR or antigen test, a vaccine certificate or Al Hosn green pass to be granted entry to some public spaces.
