Comprehensive List Of Coronavirus Testing Centers in Dubai — Where to Get Tested for Free in Dubai?

Gradually returning to normalcy, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), has released a set of new and eased Covid-19 protocols, scrapping the PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated arrivals into the country.

Here is a list of PCR testing centers in Dubai where eligible residents may avail free PCR testings.

Who are eligible for free testing?

The following priority categories are eligible for free testing. If you are one of the following categories, you can book by calling Estijabah on 8001717:

• UAE nationals
• Senior citizens above 50 years old
• Residents above 50 years old
• People suffering from chronic disease

Otherwise, free testing is available by booking an appointment through the SEHA App for the following categories:

• UAE nationals
• Children of Emirati women
• Domestic workers working in Emirati Households
• People suffering from chronic diseases
• Residents above 50 years old
• People of determination
• Pregnant women

The free test can be availed only once in four months. You can also get tested for free, regardless of which category you fall under, at a Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) screening centre.

Free testing for students and federal employees

Additionally, in line with the government’s Green Pass protocol, free PCR tests for all students are available at designated facilities and screening centres in Dubai and across the UAE.

For students, walk-ins without prior appointments are possible from Saturday to Thursday, 8 AM to 8 PM and Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Similarly, free PCR testing is also available to the federal government and semi-government employees. Employees are required to produce a valid working ID card as well as an Emirates ID card to be eligible for the free test.

Unlike students, employees must first register to book an available slot in Dubai and other emirates.

PCR test for travellers to Dubai

For travellers arriving to Dubai, they must subject to these requirements below upon their arrival to Dubai:

1. Present a valid vaccination certificate(s) reflecting that the passenger is fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO or the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and includes a QR code
2. Present a valid negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours from the time of sample collection to the time of boarding and the certificate must be issued by an approved health service provider with a QR code
3. Present a valid medical certificate issued by the relevant authorities that the passenger has recovered from COVID‑19 within 1 month from the date of recovery to the date of arrival

PCR test requirements for Hajj pilgrims returning to Dubai

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has revised the testing procedures for Hajj pilgrims returning to the country from Saudi Arabia in response to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the UAE.

All Hajj pilgrims who return to the UAE are recommended to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival, a COVID-19 test that is required on day 4 following arrival and to remain in home quarantine for 7 days.

The newly opened DHA drive-through centers are in collaboration with Unilabs. These walk-in test centers have a capacity of conducting 1,500 examinations per day and are open round the clock, seven days a week. No prior appointment is necessary.

Additionally, there is also a new drive-through testing center located at Al Lisaili but an appointment must be made in advance. The center is open from Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM.
