Getting to Yas Island is a straightforward affair. Yas Island is conveniently located a mere 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, 25 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and 45 minutes from Dubai, making it the perfect weekend getaway destination.

Yas Island fully complies with the latest directives issued by the Abu Dhabi authorities which mandate guests aged 16 and over to provide proof of a full vaccination regime as reflected by the green status on the Al Hosn app or GCC Covid-19 apps (Tawakkalna Saudi Arabia, Beaware Bahrain, Shlonik Kuwait, Trassud Oman & Entraz Qatar). Guests must also undergo a mandatory facial scan screening to access all attractions.
In addition to incorporating all the health and safety measures as per the UAE authorities’ requirements, the management and staff of Yas Island have been hard at work in formulating a comprehensive wellness and safety program.
Additional safety measures include setting up thermal scanners at entry points to monitor guests’ temperatures, as well as setting up hand-sanitizing stations at key locations. Rigorous cleaning and disinfection of high-traffic areas and frequent touchpoints have also been implemented.
Abu Dhabi entry requirements
International visitors
Fully vaccinated travellers arriving from green countries will not be required to quarantine. An RT-PCR test on arrival and on day six from arrival will be administered.
Those arriving from other countries will also not be required to quarantine but RT-PCR testing will be administered on arrival, day four and day eight.
Domestic visitors
Abu Dhabi authorities no longer require people to get tested for coronavirus before they enter the capital from other emirates This is applicable for non-vaccinated visitors as well.
To be considered fully vaccinated, an individual must have received two doses of the same vaccine at least 14 days before departure. Information about the vaccine must be documented on the Al Hosn app.
