Australia visa check 2024
The Australian government has established a visa-checking system dubbed Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) which allows all Australian visa holders to check the status and details of their visas. Additionally, visa holders may use this platform to forward/share their visa status and conditions with their employers or educational institutions.
Conditions for checking
Prior to using the VEVO system, please confirm the following:
- You have applied for an Australian visa
- You are not an Australian citizen
- The system doesn’t provide details of your previous visas or under-assessment visa applications
Requirements
Visa holders may check their visa status on the VEVO website or the myVEVO app. They just need to prepare their travel documents and one of the following:
- A transaction reference number (TRN)
- A visa grant number
- A visa evidence number
- VEVO account password for a New Zealand citizen on a Special category visa (subclass 444)
Please note that the transaction reference number (TRN) will be received if you apply for your visa online. In case you forget your number, you can check it on your ImmiAccount under the ‘online lodgement summary’ screen. Moreover, for your visa grant number, if it’s no longer available, you can request a VEVO reference number using the VEVO Request for Reference Number Form.
