In a significant development that strengthens the diplomatic ties between the Republic of India and the State of Kuwait, a new Indian Consular Application Center (ICAC) has been inaugurated in Jahra, Kuwait. As reported by Wego, this marks a crucial step in the long-standing bilateral relations between the two nations.

The inauguration ceremony took place on 1st April 2024, with the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, presiding over the event. This center is the fourth of its kind in Kuwait, reflecting the growing cooperation and mutual respect between India and Kuwait.

The ICAC is set to provide a range of services to Indian nationals residing in Kuwait. These services include visa and consular services, as well as Amnesty-related travel documents. The center aims to cater to the needs of Indian nationals in Jahra and its neighboring areas up to Abdali.

The establishment of the ICAC is a clear indication of the Indian Government’s commitment to making public services more accessible, hassle-free, and technology-driven. The center is expected to streamline the application process, thereby reducing waiting times and ensuring a seamless experience for all applicants.
