14 days quarantine

Mandatory 7-day quarantine and testing for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from selected countries are required to quarantine for 7 days. Travelers must take a test on day 5 of their quarantine.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test result
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure to Malaysia.

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers must wear masks in public places such as airports, on public transportation, in shops, markets, tourist destinations, and cinemas.

Mandatory contact-tracing app
Travelers are required to download the MySejahtera contact tracing application on their phones on arrival in Malaysia.

Re-entry Permit for Malaysian residents
Malaysian residents and pass holders are required to apply through the My Travel Pass online platform in order to travel to Malaysia or depart from Malaysia. Travelers must have formal written approval from the Malaysian Government before attempting to enter Malaysia.

Mandatory test and quarantine booking
Non-nationals are required to pay for their COVID-19 swab test and quarantine costs through an online application before they arrive in Malaysia. Returning citizens are encouraged to make the payment beforehand as well to speed up their immigration process.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers using the Reciprocal Green Lane;
-Travelers holding Periodic Commuting Arrangement passes.

All non-Malaysian travelers are required to obtain entry approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia before departure to Malaysia.
