Vietnam: Closed for Travel
Entry restricted for international travelers
Most travelers are not allowed to enter or transit through Vietnam including travelers with a Vietnamese visa exemption certificate.
Details and Exemptions:There are limited exemptions for:
-Vietnamese citizens;
-Diplomatic employees;
-Official duty;
-Special cases: experts, business managers, high-tech workers, and other essential categories as determined by the Government of Vietnam.

7 days quarantine
Mandatory 7-day quarantine for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers are required to quarantine for 7 days at a government-designated facility at their own expense followed by 7 days of medical surveillance.

COVID-19 test required
Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 3 to 7 days before arrival in Vietnam.

Masks are required
Masks are mandatory in public
Travellers must wear masks in public places such as on public transport, in the airport, and during flights.

Required Documents for your Trip
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must present a valid vaccination certificate showing that they received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The last dose must be taken at least 14 days and no more than 12 months before arrival in Vietnam.

Mandatory health declaration form
All travelers are required to fill out a health declaration form on arrival or a digital form online before their trip.
Details and Exemptions:Screen capture of the completed form must be presented at check-in before boarding. The e-health declaration forms must be completed a maximum of 24 hours before departure. Travelers should contact their airlines directly for more information.
