Abrahamic Family House
The Abrahamic Family House is a remarkable interfaith facility located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It stands as a symbol of unity by bringing together a mosque, a church, and a synagogue within a single compound.
This visionary project takes inspiration from the Document on Human Fraternity, which holds significant importance as it was signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayeb of al-Azhar in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019. The document advocates for promoting dialogue, respect, and cooperation among people of different religious and cultural backgrounds.
In essence, the Abrahamic Family House serves as a tangible representation of the commitment to interfaith understanding, encouraging peaceful coexistence among various faiths, and fostering a sense of harmony and cooperation within the community.

Named after Abraham, the common ancestor of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, the Abrahamic Family House commemorates the shared beliefs, values, sacred texts, and prophets among these three religions. While celebrating their diversity and harmony, the complex also aims to preserve the distinctive character and identity of each faith.
Abrahamic Family House opening date
On 16 February 2023, the Abrahamic Family House was officially inaugurated with a ceremony led by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. Distinguished guests, including representatives from different religious communities and both local and international dignitaries, attended the event.
Subsequently, on 1 March 2023, the complex was opened to the public, welcoming visitors to experience guided tours and engaging interactive programs.
Abrahamic Family House tickets & timings
There is no entry fee for the Abrahamic Family House. The religious site is completely free to visit for both visitors and worshippers.
The complex is open for visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (last entry). The premises close at 6 pm. Visitors can book free guided tours in Arabic or English through the official website. The tours last for about an hour and provide insights into the design, history, and significance of the complex.
The complex is open for worshippers every day, and they do not need to book tickets. When visiting, they should enter through specific entrances for each place of worship, which can be found below:
Abrahamic Family House dress code
Visitors must follow a dress code that covers the area between the neck, elbows, and ankles. Women must cover their hair while inside the compound. Scarves are available at the welcome center reception desk if needed.

Abrahamic Family House can be reached by the public bus route 94 which drops visitors at Gate B. If you are using a car or taxi, Google Maps can be used to provide directions to the Main Entrance and Parking. From Abu Dhabi City: From the Corniche head towards Mina Port and then follow signs to the Cultural District on Saadiyat Island. Free parking is available on-site.
