US To Greenland Travel Restrictions, Flights News & Travel Ban In 2021 – Advisory & Requirements

Greenland: Open for Travel

Travel is allowed with restrictions for vaccinated and recovered travelers
Travelers who have proof of being fully vaccinated or valid proof of recovery from COVID-19 and who are over 15 years of age are allowed to enter Greenland. Please check the documentation, quarantine and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Travelers will need to transit through a Nordic country on their way to Greenland. Please check restrictions for all countries on your itinerary before traveling.

Details and Exemptions:Unvaccinated travelers ages 15 to 17 can enter Greenland if they had bought flight tickets before September 3, 2021. Please see the source for more details.

Quarantine-Free

No quarantine required for vaccinated or recovered travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers and those with valid proof of recovery are not required to quarantine on arrival in Greenland.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken in a Nordic country a maximum of 72 hours before departure to Greenland.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 2;
-Travelers who have proof of recovery from COVID-19 from a positive PCR test that is 14 days to 12 weeks old.

Masks are required

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers aged 12 years and older must wear masks in public places such as on public transportation and when physical distancing is not possible.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a valid proof of vaccination. Travelers must have received all vaccine doses required at least 14 days before travel.

The following EMA-approved vaccines are accepted for travel to Greenland: Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNtech), Spikevax (Moderna), Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca), and Janssen (Johnson and Johnson).
