US To Sri Lanka Travel Restrictions, Flights News & Travel Ban In 2021 – Advisory & Requirements

Sri Lanka: Open for Travel

Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to enter Sri Lanka. Please check the documentation, quarantine and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Quarantine-Free

No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival. Travelers are still recommended to use “Safe and Secure” certified accommodations and travel agents.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results for entry
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

Travelers with valid proof of COVID-19 infection in the past 6 months have the option to present a rapid antigen test taken a maximum of 48 hours before departure.

All test results must be in English.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 2.

Masks are required

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers must wear masks in public places such as on public transportation, in businesses, and in public buildings.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers who have received the recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before departure must carry the original vaccination certificate or a verifiable evidence of vaccination. If the certificate is not in English, then a certified English translation of the certificate must be carried as well.

Any vaccination type accepted by the country of origin is acceptable.

Travelers who have valid documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 6 months and have received one dose of a vaccine at least 14 days before departure will be considered fully vaccinated. The vaccination certificate should indicate that the vaccination course has been completed following the administration of one dose.

Travelers are required to complete a health declaration form before arriving in Sri Lanka. Each traveler must have their own form filled.
