Vanuatu: Closed for Travel
Entry restricted for international travelers
Most international travellers are not allowed to enter Vanuatu. International flights to and from Vanuatu have been suspended until further notice.
Details and Exemptions:Entry restrictions do not apply to:
-Vanuatu citizens;
-Permanent residents (having physically resided in Vanuatu for at least 3 years);
-Foreigners with valid residency permits issued before April 2020;
-Dependents of valid residency visa holders who are currently in Vanuatu (dependents must apply for a residency visa before traveling to Vanuatu);
-Foreigners with a valid Special Category Visa issued before April 2020 (with approval);
-Partners must have a valid residency or Special Category Visa.

14 days quarantine
Mandatory 14-day quarantine
Travelers, including citizens and residents, are required to quarantine at designated facilities for 14 days on arrival. Travelers will be required to undergo tests on day 5 and 11 of quarantine.

COVID-19 test required
Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all travellers on arrival in Vanuatu.

Required Documents for your Trip
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Travelers must have proof that they have been fully vaccinated with a WHO-approved vaccine. Travelers that have received a 2 dose vaccine are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their final dose. Travelers that have received a single dose vaccine are considered fully vaccinated 28 days after their dose.
Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 18;
-Travelers that have been granted an exemption.

Mandatory pre-registration form
This registration is to be completed by all people wanting to travel to Vanuatu. Once travel has been approved travelers will be prompted to upload additional documents to the form. This must be completed 24-72 hours before the flight.
