As we approach the middle of the year, the national airline of one of the most renowned historical states is achieving new feats to connect families and create history. According to a recent press release from the Saudia Press Agency, British Airways, the UK’s national airline, will begin offering direct flights between London and Jeddah four times a week starting November 2024, Wego reports.

As announcd by the authorities, this new route is part of the Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP). 

In the statement, ACP Chief Executive Majid Khan and Jeddah Airports Chief Executive Eng. Mazen Johar stressed the importance of British Airways’ return to Jeddah with new London Heathrow flights is crucial for connecting the Kindom with the rest of the world and supports the growth of the inbound tourism and aviation market.

British Airways’ chief commercial officer, Colm Lacy, added in a statement, “We have a long history of connecting families, friends, and businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with our home in London. There are significant opportunities for businesses in both countries, so we’re pleased we can re-build our connectivity and strengthen links between the two kingdoms.”

British Airways flights to Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will operate quadruply from Mondays through Thursdays, from London starting 4 November 2024.

The schedule for the flights, according to the British Airways’ website, is as follows:  

London to Jeddah

  • departing London at 8:10 PM (Terminal 5) and arriving in Jeddah at 5:30 AM (Terminal 1)
