Hai Ramadan, one of Dubai’s biggest Ramadan celebrations, will celebrate culture, tradition, and community throughout the Holy Month. The event will feature an Iftar Cannon firing a single shot every evening to mark the beginning of iftar, running daily from 5pm to midnight.

Entry is free for those with iftar and suhoor bookings, or AED 20 otherwise, and guests can enjoy over 20 outlets and food carts offering iftars, suhoors, and Ramadan snacks.

Additionally, visitors can explore a lively souk with handmade crafts, traditional garments, and a grandmother’s supermarket, while children can experience the Dukan Yadoo, where they can purchase sweets using tokens earned from a traditional Floos Bank.

A dedicated mosque in the Sustainability District will be open for all prayers, and a special theatrical show, “Quest to Find the Moon,” will entertain children while teaching the values of Ramadan, such as kindness and compassion, featuring Expo City mascots Rashid and Latifa.

The Holy Month is expected to begin on Monday, 11 March 2024, according to astronomers, while the Ramadan District will operate daily from Friday, 15 March 2024, until Thursday, 4 April 2024.

Last year, the area near the Museum of the Future served as a bustling market area during Ramadan, featuring numerous stalls and snacks available from sunset until dawn. Activities such as board games, interactive games, arts and crafts, and cooking classes will be offered to keep visitors entertained.

Henna and calligraphy artists, as well as face painters, will showcase their talents at the spacious market area. Regular stage performances and a playground will also be available to keep both adults and children engaged.

The Ramadan District will operate daily from 5pm until 2am, from Friday, 15 March 2024, to Thursday, 4 April 2024.

Dubai Municipality’s Ramadan Souq

Discover Dubai Municipality’s Ramadan Souq, which opened on Saturday and will continue until Saturday, 9 March 2024. Located at the Grand Souq in Deira, it operates from 10am to 10pm.
