In a move aimed at enhancing accessibility and convenience for Saudi nationals, VFS centers in Riyadh and Dammam will introduce a new walk-in visa service starting 7 May 2024, Wego reports. This service, which is free of charge and does not require a prior appointment, was confirmed in a recent announcement on the official French embassy website in Saudi Arabia.

As part of this initiative, a daily allocation of 100 slots for Riyadh and 50 for Dammam will be made available during the operating hours of the respective centers. The service will function on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to daily quotas. Applicants availing of this service are mandated to present a complete visa application file and remit the standard visa fee in addition to the service charges of the VFS service provider.
The launch of the walk-in service augments the existing appointment booking system accessible on the VFS website, thereby offering Saudi nationals increased flexibility in obtaining their visas. This initiative is a testament to the ongoing efforts to streamline visa processes and cater to the requirements of Saudi nationals intending to travel to France and other destinations facilitated by the VFS centers.
