Kuwait: Closed for Travel

Entry restricted for international travelers
Most travelers are not allowed to enter Kuwait.

Details and Exemptions:Entry restrictions do not apply to:
-Citizens of Kuwait, their first-degree relatives, and their domestic travelers.
-Fully vaccinated permanent residents, aged 16 years and older, that are not citizens of Kuwait. They must have a valid vaccination certificate.

7 days quarantine

Mandatory 7-day quarantine and testing for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers with valid proof of vaccination are required to quarantine for 7 days at home on arrival in Kuwait. Travelers must take a COVID-19 test at their own expense, end the quarantine if the result is negative.

COVID-19 test required

Proof of negative COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in English. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 6.

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers must wear masks in all public places.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate showing that at least 2 weeks have passed since receiving 2 doses of either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or 1 dose of Johnson and Johnson. Travelers who have been fully vaccinated with Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Sputnik vaccines may travel to Kuwait if they have received at least 1 additional dose of either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
This applies to all foreign residents aged 16 years and older.

All vaccinated travelers must confirm their vaccination status with Kuwait’s Ministry of Health ‘Immune’ App, or on the Mobile Civil ID app, or through presenting a certificate of vaccination outside Kuwait that includes a readable QR code.

Kuwait will only accept the UK’s letter version of proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record. Digital proof will not be accepted.
