US To Spain Travel Restrictions, Flights News & Travel Ban In 2021 – Advisory & Requirements

Spain: Open for Travel

Travel is allowed with restrictions for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from selected countries are allowed to enter Spain. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Details and Exemptions:When traveling to the Balearic Islands, additional requirements apply to groups of 20+ people, including appointing a group leader and adhering to updated COVID-19 travel restrictions. Check additional documentation for exemptions and details.

Quarantine-Free

No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Spain.

COVID-19 test not required

No proof of negative COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers from selected countries are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result for entry as long as they present valid proof of vaccination.

Details and Exemptions:Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the vaccination certificate requirement.

Masks are required

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers aged 6 years and older must wear masks in indoor public places and outdoor public places where social distancing can’t be maintained.

All travelers must pass through health checks including temperature checks.

Required Documents for your Trip

Mandatory proof of vaccination
Travelers must present a certificate showing they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Travelers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before travel. Vaccines accepted are those approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and by the WHO.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.
The United Kingdom’s COVID-19 vaccination record is also accepted.

Details and Exemptions:This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 12.

Mandatory health control form
All travelers, including those in transit, must fill a travel form a maximum of 48 hours before arrival in Spain and present their QR code at check-in. Different forms are available for travelers arriving by air and sea.

Recommended contact-tracing app
Travelers are recommended to download the RadarCOVID app when entering Spain. The app is mandatory in the Canary Islands.
