Following the December 9th voluntary Sinopharm vaccine rollout, the UAE is set to introduce the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for the widespread vaccination campaign starting Wednesday, 23 December 2020. The Sinopharm and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines efficacy rates are at 86 and 95 percent respectively, with both vaccines requiring two doses set three weeks apart.
Dubai residents will be the first ones in line to roll up their sleeves and receive their inoculation. The following are the known locations of vaccination centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the rest of the UAE.

Note: Although there has been no official confirmation from the authorities regarding the vaccination centers’ locations in Emirates other than Dubai, it’s quite likely that the previous locations where the Sinopharm vaccine had been administered will also serve as the outlet for the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. We’ll keep you updated as new developments unfurl.

Booking your vaccination
Although the vaccination drive is voluntary in nature, priorities will be given to residents older than 60, those with chronic diseases along with frontline workers. For the time being, people under the age of 18 will not be administered the vaccine.
If you meet the above criteria, secure your vaccination by contacting the Dubai Health Authority hotline at 800 342. Please prepare the necessary documents (Emirates ID and Ministry health card) and health officials will attempt to duly verify your eligibility by asking you several questions about age, existing health conditions and some pregnancy-related ones.
