Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has recently announced that starting 30 December, a negative PCR test and a Green Pass will be required for entering the emirate from within the UAE. As of now, the negative PCR test has been made mandatory for unvaccinated individuals, while the Green Pass has been made mandatory for vaccinated individuals.

Starting 30 December 2021, for entering Abu Dhabi from within the UAE, vaccinated individuals will have to mandatorily show the green status on the AlHosn application. On the other hand, the unvaccinated individuals will be required to present a negative PCR test report taken within 96 hours of entering Abu Dhabi.

The requirement is in addition to using EDE scanners for rapidly detecting potential COVID-19 cases and are in line with efforts to continue enhancing precautionary measures for protecting public health.
