The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the leading global mixed martial arts organization, is set to make a triumphant return to Abu Dhabi on 3 August, Wego reports. This announcement was made in conjunction with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

This marks the second time in less than a year that the UFC has chosen Abu Dhabi as its venue, reflecting the city’s growing stature in the international sports community. The upcoming event is particularly noteworthy as it will be the first-ever Fight Night to be held in the UAE capital, marking a significant milestone in the city’s sporting history.

The upcoming event, which will take place at the Etihad Arena, promises to be a spectacle, with a fight card that is yet to be announced. The event will showcase both international and local talent, featuring some of the sport’s most skilled athletes. This UFC Fight Night will be the 18th event hosted in Abu Dhabi, a tradition dating back to UFC INVINCIBLE in April 2010.

UFC CEO Dana White expressed his enthusiasm about the organization’s return to Abu Dhabi. He praised the city for its exceptional hospitality and vibrant local culture, encouraging fans to arrive early and immerse themselves in the unique experiences the city has to offer before culminating their trip with the thrilling fights.

H.E. Saleh Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, echoed White’s sentiments. He highlighted the significance of hosting another UFC event in less than a year, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s status as a global hub for sporting events and a magnet for MMA fans worldwide.
