The AFC Asian Cup is the premier international football tournament in Asia, organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It is held every four years, and the 2027 edition will be its 19th edition.
The tournament winner will be crowned Asia’s champion and will also qualify for the FIFA Confederations Cup.

In February 2023, Saudi Arabia was announced as the next AFC Asian Cup host for the 2027 edition after edging out India and Iran.

As of July 2024, the venues for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 haven’t been announced. The following is the list of venues in Qatar where the 2024 edition was conducted:

AFC Asian Cup 2027 teams & schedule
As of July 2024, Kuwait (Group A), DPR Korea (Group B), China PR (Group C), Kyrgyz Republic (Group D) and Indonesia (Group F) were the five teams confirmed to participate in the AFC Asian Cup 2027. The Qualifiers are still ongoing, and the final list of teams will be updated in the forthcoming months.
Moreover, the 19th season of this continental competition is scheduled to be conducted in the January month of 2027.
The following is the list of groups for the previous edition of the AFC Asian Cup to give an idea of how the teams will be divided into groups. The tournament featured 24 teams, divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each. After the group round was over, 16 teams were qualified for the knockout stage.
The groups are as follows:
- Group A: Qatar, China, Tajikistan, Lebanon
- Group B: Australia, Uzbekistan, Syria, India
- Group C: Iran, UAE, Hong Kong, Palestine
- Group D: Japan, Indonesia, Iraq, Vietnam
- Group E: South Korea, Malaysia, Jordan, Bahrain
- Group F: Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Kyrgyz Republic, Oman

Since the tournament is still three years away and the teams have not yet been fully selected, ticket sales have not yet commenced. Please note that we will update this section once we receive pertinent information from the officials.
However, to give an idea of what to expect, Phase 1 of the ticket sale for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 received a massive response from football fans in Asia, with over 150,000 tickets sold. These tickets started at a very affordable price of QAR 25.
Fans were able to download their tickets directly to their digital wallets, which eliminated the need for internet connectivity when presenting these digital tickets at the stadium for the 2024 edition.
