In an official press release, the Ministry of External Affairs of India has unveiled a significant diplomatic development. Wego reports that a landmark visa waiver agreement has been signed between the Indian and Moldovan governments, benefiting diplomatic and official passport holders.

The agreement was inked by Shri Pavan Kapoor, Secretary (West) of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and H.E. Mrs. Ana Taban, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Moldova, acting on behalf of their respective nations.

This accord paves the way for visa-free travel, a move set to facilitate tourism for holders of diplomatic and official passports from both countries. However, it’s important to note that the implementation of visa-free travel is yet to take effect.

India and Moldova have enjoyed diplomatic ties since 20 March 1992. This new agreement serves to further strengthen these connections, reflecting the commitment of both nations to enhance their bilateral ties.
