The Italian Super Cup, also known as the Supercoppa Italiana, is making a comeback to the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. This edition, to be held from 18 to 22 January 2024, will be the fourth time Saudi Arabia hosts the Italian Super Cup. It is also set to be the first edition featuring four teams and multiple matches, away from the previous one-off match.

The Italian Super Cup 2023, also known as, the Supercoppa Italiana, marks the 36th edition of the tournament and will introduce a new format featuring four teams, a departure from the traditional one-off match between two clubs.

The competition will showcase the victors and finalists of the 2022–23 Serie A and 2022–23 Coppa Italia.

Italian Super Cup 2023 teams

As mentioned above, this is the first edition of the tournament where four teams will be participating. These four teams are the following:

• Napoli: winners of Serie A 2022-23 
• Internazionale: winners of Coppa Italia 2022-23
• Lazio: runners up of Serie A 2022-23
• Fiorentina: runners up of Coppa Italia 2022-23

Italian Super Cup 2023 dates & schedule

The Italian Super Cup 2023 competition will commence on 18 January 2024, and the final will be played on 22 January 2024. 

The tournament will feature two knockout fixtures, or semi-finals, to select the two teams to play in the final. All three matches will be played in a single-leg fixture. Here is the schedule for the tournament.

All three matches in the Italian Super Cup 2023 tournament will be held at the King Saud University Stadium, Riyadh, also known as the Al-Awwal Park. 

This stadium is also the home ground of the Saudi Arabian football club Al-Nassr, and the stadium that hosted WWE Crown Jewel events.
