Visa-free entry passport requirements for Portugal

The following are special passport requirements for visa-free entry into Portugal. If you are a citizen of any of the listed countries or regions, please take note of these requirements to ensure a smooth entry into Portugal.

  • citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Serbia are eligible for visa-free entry only if they hold biometric passports
  • holders of passports issued by Taiwan are eligible for visa-free entry only if their passport contains an identity card number
  • visa-free entry applies only to holders of a “Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” passport
  • visa-free entry applies only to holders of a “Região Administrativa Especial de Macau” passport
