Qatar Airways will unveil its latest business class offering, the ‘Qsuite Next Gen,’ at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 from 22 July to 26 July. Visitors at the airshow can experience this upgraded version of the award-winning Qsuite at the Qatar Airways Discover Lounge.

The Qsuite Next Gen, featuring advancements in comfort, collaborative design, and enhanced dining experiences, will be the centerpiece of the airline’s showcase, drawing aviation leaders and enthusiasts from around the globe.

Qatar Airways’ Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, expressed high anticipation for the event, confident that the reveal will attract significant attention from the global aviation community. Qatar Airways can be found at Chalet C114-115 and the Discover Lounge, Hall 1 Entrance, during the airshow.

The inaugural cabin for Qatar Airways Business Class introduces a novel configuration with both aft and forward-facing seats, representing a significant leap in cabin innovation.

The cabin interiors are designed in their signature colors of burgundy and grey, accentuated by rose gold detailing. The seats are upholstered with high-quality fabrics, and to enhance more convenience, the media panel is equipped with a power port offering USB, HDMI, and NFC capabilities.

Moreover, passengers can enjoy Wi-Fi services while on board various aircraft models, including Boeing A380, A350, B787, A319, as well as select B777, A330, and A320.

While flying business class is an elevated experience from the economy, it also costs you accordingly. The airfares change depending on your destination country, and prices can go up to QAR 20,110 (USD 5,524), even on one-way bookings. 

A one-way booking from Doha to New York starts at QAR 16,200 (USD 4,450), while a flight to London will cost you QAR 13,800 (USD 3,800). However, short-haul destinations to Oman would cost you anywhere from QAR 3,690 (USD 1,014).

Qatar Airways Business Class baggage allowance 

The baggage allowance for business class flights to and from all destinations is set at 40kg (88lb). For flights specifically to or from Africa or the Americas, passengers are allowed to carry 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing up to 32kg (70lb).

Additionally, for hand baggage, regardless of the specific business class tier, passengers are permitted to carry 2 pieces of luggage with a total weight limit of 15kg (33lb).

Qatar Airways has launched the new Pre-Select Dining service on selected flights to Europe, North and South America, Australia, and New Zealand. Passengers in First and Business Class can pre-select one main course from the à la carte menu up to 14 days in advance and until 24 hours before departure. This additional service complements the existing Dining-on-Demand service for valued premium class passengers.

To pre-select a meal, customers can log into ‘My Trips’ on the Qatar Airways website or use the Qatar Airways mobile app to choose from the available seasonal menu for their flight.

Spanning an expansive 10,000 square meters, the Al Mourjan Business Lounge, dedicated to Qatar Airways’ business class passengers, provides a comprehensive range of services to meet the needs of discerning customers.

For business-oriented travelers, the lounge offers conference rooms and well-appointed business centers. These facilities are designed to facilitate productive meetings and work sessions. Additionally, private workstations are available, equipped with personal display screens and complimentary Wi-Fi access, providing a tranquil environment for focused work.

The lounge also caters to the needs of families, with private family areas that feature widescreen TVs and comfortable leather couches. A dedicated games room, equipped with a Formula 1 simulator, offers entertainment for both children and adults. Furthermore, a children’s nursery is available, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable experience for families.

When it comes to dining, the lounge boasts an array of culinary delights to satisfy diverse palates. On the spacious mezzanine floor, passengers can explore a variety of flavors from around the world. Options include a continental or oriental brasserie, a global deli, and a patisserie. Additionally, the lounge features an exemplary bar, serving a selection of the finest beverages from across the globe.
