How to extend a Qatar A1 tourist visa?

Once you’ve obtained a Qatar tourist or A1 visa, you can extend it for an additional 30 days. You can complete the extension process online via the Ministry of Interior (MOI) website. Follow these steps:

  • Go to the visit visa extension page on the MOI website.
  • Enter your passport or visa number and nationality, and click “extend.”
  • If you receive an error saying “health insurance data not found,” you must first extend your health insurance before proceeding with the visa extension.
  • You can extend your visa for one or three months using the dropdown menu, then complete the process by paying the fees through the integrated payment gateway.

Alternatively, you can complete the process in person by visiting the MOI Immigration Office at Hamad International Airport or the Passports General Directorate office.

Present your passport, a sponsor’s NOC letter (if needed), a passport photo, your return ticket, and pay the extension fee to the visa renewal officer. If eligible, your visa will be extended immediately.

Please note, it is essential to apply for the extension before your visa expires, as it cannot be extended once expired.
