Bahrain visa on arrival is a type of visa that allows eligible travelers to enter Bahrain without applying for a visa beforehand. They can obtain the visa at any entry point in Bahrain by paying a fee and providing some documents. There are currently more than 200 countries eligible for VOA facilities. Some of these countries are listed below:

Europe: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Falkland Islands, Finland, France, French Guyana, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Asia: Brunei, China, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.

America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Oceania: Australia and New Zealand.

Single entry eVisa

The documents required are as follows:

  • Photocopy of the photo page of the applicant’s current valid passport.
  • Copy of the return air ticket.
  • Copy of hotel booking in Bahrain (optional)

The visa can be used only once for a single entry, and the length of stay allowed is 2 weeks.

The validity for this type of visa is 90 days, and it must be used within 90 days of approval. If the visa expires before entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the applicant must apply again, and another fee must be paid.

Multiple entry eVisa

The multiple-entry eVisa is issued to eligible visitors and tourists by Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior website, provided travellers are able to meet some of the conditions. Additionally, the applicant must be outside the Kingdom of Bahrain when applying for this visa.

The documents required are as follows:

  • Photocopy of the photo page of the applicant’s current valid passport
  • Copy of the return air ticket
  • Copy of hotel booking in Bahrain

The length of stay allowed in this type of visa is 1 month, and the visa can be used for multiple entries and will be valid for 3 months from the time of entry.

The validity for this type of visa is 90 days and must be used within 90 days of approval. If the visa expires before entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the applicant must reapply and is subject to the required fees.

One year multiple entry eVisa

The documents required are as follows:

  • Photocopy of the photo page of the applicant’s current valid passport
  • Copy of the return air ticket
  • Copy of hotel booking in Bahrain

The length of stay allowed is 90 days (per visit), and the visa can be used for multiple entries and will be valid for 1 year from the time of entry.

The validity for this type of visa is 90 days, and it must be used within 90 days of approval. If the visa expires before entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the applicant must reapply and is subject to the required fees.

Five-year multiple-entry eVisa

The documents required are as follows:

  • Photocopy of the photo page of the applicant’s current valid passport
  • Copy of the return air ticket
  • Copy of a stamped bank statement under the visitor’s name covering the last three months with an ending balance of not less than the equivalent of BD 300 (UD 796)
  • Copy of hotel booking in Bahrain

The length of stay allowed in this type of visa is 90 days (per visit).

The validity of the visa is 5 years. This means the visa can be used for multiple entries during this period. It can, however, be extended at the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs office (NPRA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain on payment of a fee.

Ten-year multiple-entry eVisa

The documents required are as follows:

  • Copy of the applicant’s passport. (Family Page and any additional information page)
  • Copy of valid confirmed return air ticket
  • Copy of hotel booking in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Alternatively, in case you are staying with a relative/friend, please provide a copy of their ID reader’s printout
  • Copy of a bank statement under the visitor’s name covering the last three months with an ending balance of not less than the equivalent of USD 1000

The length of stay allowed in this type of visa is 90 days (per visit).

The validity of the visa is 10 years. This means the visa can be used for multiple entries during this period. It can, however, be extended at the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs office (NPRA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain on payment of a fee.

Bahrain transit visa

If your layover at Bahrain International Airport falls within the range of 7 to 24 hours after your initial arrival, you could potentially receive complimentary lodging and a visa for your transit duration.

  • Up to 24 hours prior to your flight, if the total cost of your ticket, including the fare and carrier-imposed charges, is under USD 450 (for one-way or return trips)
    You have the option to reserve an STPC (Stopover Paid by Carrier) package. The fee for adults is USD 80, and for children aged 2 to 12, it’s USD 55. Infants under 2 years old will enjoy a complimentary stay.
  • For passengers traveling between the Indian Sub-continent and the Middle East, or vice versa, if the total fare value, including the ticket fare and carrier-imposed charges, is below USD 450
    You will be eligible for up to two meal vouchers for layovers up to 12 hours. However, if you wish to secure an STPC package, you can do so at your own expense by booking it 24 hours before your departure.
  • Within 24 hours before departure, at the departure airport, or upon arriving in Bahrain, if the total cost of your ticket, including the ticket fare and carrier-imposed charges, is less than USD 450 (for one-way or return travel)
    You have the option to reserve an STPC (Stopover Paid by Carrier) package. This package is available at a rate of USD 100 for adults and USD 100 for children aged 2 to 12. Infants under 2 years old will enjoy a complimentary stay. Blue and Silver Falconflyer members holding redemption tickets can also purchase the STPC package at the mentioned rate.
